Intuitive Parenting: Femglide

When trying to conceive, one of the things of which you need to be aware is cervical mucus. Without the right amount and quality of cervical mucus ("cm") it's much more difficult, and sometimes impossible, for the sperm to make the necessary trip.

Also, generally, without adequate lubrication the act of trying to conceive is..well...less fun.

Unfortunately, many lubricants, including even saliva, can have a negative impact on sperm's ability to get to where it needs to go. So choice of lubricant can become quite important when trying to conceive.

As it turns out, as best as I have been able to determine, there is only one lubricant on the market which is known to be "sperm neutral" (or what I call "sperm friendly"). It's called FemGlide, and it's made by Cooper Surgical.

Unfortunately Cooper only sells to doctors and clinics, and will not sell to individuals. However, they do have one distributer, Wallace O'Farrell Wal-Med, and they will sell to individuals! Wallace-O'Farrell is sort of separate from Wal-Med, and while the latter sells FemGlide proper, the former has it repackaged as "Slippery Stuff"

However, you can also order the actual FemGlide proper from them - it's about $7.65 for a 4 ounce tube. You can order it by calling Peggy at 800-759-7883. Tell her that I sent you. :-)
